What’s The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat Fast?
How To Cut Belly Fat – The Secrets Out
How to cut belly fat – the secrets out
Do you want to know the secret to shredding and cutting unwanted belly fat, do you want to have that six-pack you’ve always desired but thought it was just too hard?
Well, the truth is that there is no real secret to fat loss or cutting your unwanted belly fat.
We have heard and read the basics about weight training and dieting, which are as follows:
· Train hard for 4-5 days a week
· Get adequate rest and sleep
· Eat enough protein
· Stay away from Sugar and Carbs
· Incorporate high-intensity workouts (HIIT Session)
And I agree with every point mentioned above, and for the past 14 years I have learned and applied them to the best of my ability.
I have gotten some great results over the years as I mentioned in another post that I lost over 32 kg, after many years of being overweight and going up and down with my weight.
But last year I got to a point where I was OK with how I looked but not really satisfied and wanted to step up and go to the next level and enhance my physic.
As I was speaking to my PT one day after a hard session where he worked me hard, he said something that was profound to me, he said, “your weight training only equates to about 10-15% of your overall training.”
I looked at him as I was catching my breath after he pounded me that day, I said, “what does that mean?”
He said, “well think about it there are 168 hours in a week and if you train flat out hard every time you come in the gym which is great, it only adds up to about 4-5 hours a week.”
Hours in a week calculation
1 week = 7 days/week = (7 days/week) × (24 hours/day) = 168 hours/week
He said, “what about the other 164 hours of the week, that’s the most important thing you need to focus on if you want to sculpt your body and lose that unwanted belly fat and build more lean muscle.”
He then said to me, “food and what you eat equates to about 80-85 % of your overall success,” the old saying that you are what you eat might be true then.
Now obviously you need to add in sleep depending on how much you get ranging from 6-9 hours a day.
But when it comes to bodybuilding and please understand that everyone is different and most likely wanting to get different results.
Some people are happy just going to the gym and talking to their friends either at the gym or on their phone whilst they hold up the equipment for everyone else.
But if you’re like me and you mean business when you step inside your gym and want to lose that unwanted body fat and gain muscle then I suggest you keep on reading.
Then my trainer said to me, “80-85% is food or diet-related and what and how much you eat, & 10-15% is weight training and the rest say about 5% is supplements and other things.”
In this post, I am only going to be talking about the 80-85% part, so as I went home that night it got me thinking about my training and what I was currently doing and how I want to go to the next level with my training.
I thought at this point my training was pretty good, so I got that side covered, I do my Hypertrophy training with max reps including my compound moves, deadlifts, squats, bench, one day focuses on legs one day focuses on chest and back, and all the accessory areas that I am trying to achieve.
But my food side was another thing, I have never really had to follow a meal plan and track my food other than My Fitness Pal.
I then realized that in order to get down to 10% body fat and get that 6 pack that I have always wanted to achieve, meant that I was going to have to try something new and change my food.
No one would put regular unleaded into a high-performance vehicle, they would only use high-quality fuel to run it otherwise it would clog up their injectors and slow the car’s performance down.
Same is true with your body, which is a high-performance vehicle that requires high-performance fuel (Food) to run it and sustain it for maximum use.
So as I was researching about food what kept catching my attention was something called the Ketosis diet, which has been around forever, but has not gotten a lot of good press recently, so people shire away from it.
But after looking at the research behind it and all the benefits it has including fat burning and giving you more energy I started doing it myself.
So What Is Ketosis?
Ketosis is the natural metabolic process the body uses that burns stored fats as its fuel source instead of glucose/carbohydrates.
Ketosis or Ketones is a better alternative fuel source for the body to run on than sugar or glucose.
When you’re in ketosis your body is in the state of making ketones,
Running on ketones is like running your house on a clean energy source such as solar power rather than a dirty energy source such as coal.
So it’s a cleaner fuel source to run your body on which gives a person way more energy than glucose does.
When done correctly you can be running on ketones anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks or even as long as 6 weeks depending on how long you have been running your body on glucose for.
Running on Ketones will stabilize your blood levels so you’re more level headed and can think clearer and have a sharper memory.
Ketones were the original fuel source for our brains as we didn’t consume so much sugar and didn’t eat up to 6 meals as we do today.
As your body runs in ketosis, it lowers your insulin levels, so in the absence of insulin, your body is inburning fat mode.
What Is Insulin?
Insulin is the hormone that regulates blood sugar levels, by not allowing it to go over 100 ml/pd, preventing things like cancer and blindness, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, inflammation, memory loss and Vestural fat around the belly and the list goes on.
Normally, in your blood, you only store around two teaspoons of sugar. That’s all you store.
The average person eats about 31 teaspoons which equal 140 pounds or around 63.5 kg of sugar a year which is totally mind-blowing.
Our bodies are NOT designed to consume the number of sweets and sugar we consume today.
Our foods today are so nutrition deficient mainly because our foods are grown without the vital nutrients that possibly our parents had in their foods.
Our health problems are related to the serious amounts of sugar we are consuming today.
So in summary
ketosis is an effective way of burning more fat overall throughout the day which will bring down the body’s fat including the belly fat, which in most cases is the last place men tend to lose it.
This could simply be because your body holds on to fat around the vital organs as a form of survival.
In the next post, I will touch more on insulin and growth hormone and other effective ways to burn and target the mid-section more.
